Who is Kind Carver?

My name is Max, I’m an Eastern-European-born Kansas-Citian with lots of creative ideas and an ever-growing set of tools and skills that help me bring my ideas to life. I’ve had a multi-decade successful career in digital design, but I’ve always enjoyed creating real-life objects that people can enjoy and interact with. Throughout the years I’ve been learning, creating, polishing my skills. I’ve realized that my true passion is in working with my customers to create custom artifacts that carry personal meaning and value to them.

I feel like positive energy and good intent bring out the best in people. I use positivity to super-charge my creativity, and I’ve happen to notice that my work is much better when I craft it with genuine care, passion and kindness.

I’m very lucky to have room and creative space for my work. Although my preferred material is wood, I’ve had success working with glass, acrylic, and some soft metals. Besides traditional workshop tools I also have a CO2 laser for precise and detailed cutting and engraving (keychains, fridge magnets, custom toys, cups, glasses and so much more), and a CNC machine for complex and detailed carving and production (bowls, cutting boards, furniture, 3D engraving, beautiful multi-textured inlays, picture frames and much more).

My working process starts with connecting with a customer, understanding their goals, discussing ideas, prototyping or sketching a proposed solution before charging $ – my goal is to make sure a customer is happy and on-board before we go too far into the actual final production.
